Reading the training record
The record answers one question: who has been trained, in what, and when does it run out. Here is how to get it to answer the version of that question you were actually asked.

Getting an answer out of it
What counts as complete?
The assessment passed and the certificate issued. Opening a course is not completing it, and the record does not pretend otherwise.
Can I export it?
Yes. Being able to hand it over is the reason for keeping it in one place.
Can I see what is about to expire?
Yes, where a course has a renewal period. That is the view worth checking monthly rather than annually.
Somebody completed training elsewhere. Does it count?
Tell us what you need recorded and we will tell you honestly what the platform can hold today.
Need a report the record will not give you?
Tell us the question you were asked and who asked it. That is usually a faster route to the right answer than describing a screen.
