Assigning courses
Should I assign to people or to roles?
To roles, wherever you can. Assigning to a job role means a new teaching assistant arrives with the right list already waiting, rather than depending on somebody remembering.
Can different schools in our trust need different things?
Yes. Assignment can sit at the trust, at a group of schools, at one school or at a department inside it.
Can I set a deadline?
Yes, and where a course expires the renewal is held against the person so a lapse is something you see coming.
What happens if somebody is assigned a course they have already done?
Their existing completion counts. They are not sent back through material they have passed unless the course has since expired or materially changed.
